The American Red Cross: Lending a Helping Hand Relief Movement for Haiti

We can only go so far with our intentions to help and reach out. But with The American Red Cross, having people come together can help make our communities, our environment a better, more peaceful place.

This past January, marked one year since the devastating earthquake shook up Haiti leaving thousands, upon thousands of the Haiti people injured, killed, homeless with no food and water. It is going to take awhile to recover from such a disaster. Today, just a much like the day it occurred, any type of help to get the people of Haiti back on their feet is a big type of help.
The American Red Cross is taking donations, even via text message. So far the fundraising to get Haiti back on its feet has been very much successful with already raising $479 million which will provide the proper health care, food and shelter for the survivors.

Please help The American Red Cross in continuing to help the Haitian people.
You can eradicate the poverty. You can spread peace, love and joy. You can feed the starving. Because you can get involved with The American Red Cross today!

Warmth in the Wintertime

New and improved, portable heater is at the top of people's list this winter season; low cost for a high performance job.

This heater by Feature Comforts is the must have item this winter. It is definitely what's hot, no pun intended, for a college student like myself. It is smaller in size for portable capabilities but still projects just as much heat as one larger in size. Most importantly, it is safe! Having a device on hand like this is definitely something like a god sent for us in college who are struggling to make it, pay for bills and do not want to have the electric bill high.

Food for Thought

This book is funny yet mind stimulating; a bible to the ins and outs of dating in today's society.

A #1 New York Times Bestseller, funny, insightful; an all around good read from front cover to back! On one of these long winter nights, this book on what "men really think about love, relationships, intimacy, and commitment" can be of best entertainment. With Steve Harvey, it is never a dull moment. Relationships and dating in this day and age can be challenging, more like a guessing game with a whole lot of risk, rejection and let down if you don't have the right mind set. Sometimes us women have to step outside the box and start thinking how men do to get some success while still maintaing the lady like poise. Steve Harvey finally comes through with the very information that young ladies like me would love to now. "Women should listen to Steve Harvey when it comes to what a good man is about. Steve Harvey dispenses a lot of fabulous information about men. It's more than the average man will usually tell you. Steve Harvey will give it up." -Aretha Franklin

Staying Warm wit Style this Winter

These festive pair of Ugg boots are the latest craze in fashion for the winter months; good quality for reasonable price.

A perfect choice of shoe on a typical winter day involving comfort, warmth, style and versatility. The ongoing shoe of choice for women that they can not just wear in the winter but all year around if so please. Ugg boots are 100% sheep skin, originated in Austrailia first worn by surfers to keep their feet isolated after surfing. Instead of stepping out in a stiletto, Ugg boots are the next best alternative. They can be worn with skirts, mixing and matching the boot style, color and print to dress up an occasion or even dress it down. Ugg boots are even dubbed Oprah's favorite among many other stars. This particular style, the flower print is limited edition and the most complementary among numerous variations of the boot. Swirls of color and support! How can that be beat? This fad has definitely been on the rise for 7 to 8 years and continues.

Peace and Tranquility in a Bottle

I recently stumbled across a wonderful product this past month! While back home, I ran out of body wash. I'm real particular about what products I will use. My mom recommended shower gel from a line of products called Philosophy.
At first I was skeptical about it. The design of the bottle was quite interesting and clever though. Philosophy uses children's pictures and writing in lowercase style to highlight the pleasure life can bring and display the curiosity of childhood consciousness that we all have.
Philosophy helps give you better skin while what is on the bottles inspires a better day! I had to try it out!

The shower gel I chose to use was the Philosophy "inner grace" charity shower gel. Not only did it smell good but 100% of the proceeds when buying the shower gel or any of the Philosophy products go to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation for Paralysis; inspired by the late Dana Reeve.

I personally love this line of skind care products. Its feminine and fills the gap between what is prescribed through the doctor and retail. Woman can easily get access to this line.
